north island, new zealand

november 14-21, 2026

for the:
Happy Camper

Sometimes the most spiritual thing we can do is throw caution to the wind and have some fun. So it’s a strike mission to New Zealand for a once-in-a-lifetime kinda trip - unspoiled nature, daily adventures, and an epic surprise in the city. Our no-frills, glamping-style retreat offers space to breathe and room to roam. This place is inexplicably special (you’ll see) with its endless rolling hills, cozy yoga space, and embracing host family. Feeling so lucky to be invited back for a second time in 2026. Come as you are.

retreat intention: spontaneity

primary chakras: SACRAL

six (6) nights accommodation in whangaruru

There’s one proper way to do New Zealand: feet on the earth, under the wide open sky. Our glamping-style property is a thousand-acre countryside escape, situated in the heart of it all - rivers, rolling hills, and the South Pacific.

One (1) Night ACCOMMODATION in auckland

We’re closing out the retreat along the Auckland waterfront! Everyone will get their own hotel room, walking distance to our biggest retreat surprise ever…

concert tickets to see jack johnson, ben harper, and john butler

Every once in a while, there’s a concert worthy enough of a plane ticket. Jack Johnson & co. is certainly one of those. So I bumped our retreat dates up to November 2026. Life is worth celebrating.

2x daily yoga practices

The highlight of our retreat space, second to its wild nature, is certainly the yoga shala. Breathe easy in this cozy, indoor-outdoor space. With all the props and wall space, it’s the perfect setup to explore a variety of formats - balanced between transformation and restoration.

3x Mat Pilates classes with Alana

My favorite pilates teacher, Alana, just happens to be from New Zealand. Lucky us that she’s agreed to join our retreat as friend and teacher. You’re going to love her classes and go home feeling stronger and more confident.

Sailing in the Bay of Islands

We’ll take an afternoon sail around the Bay of Islands to get up close and personal with the wildlife and go for a swim in the South Pacific.

Running with horses

Day 1 - Horsemanship Workshop: We are SO lucky to have an experience like this, hosted by mama Ellen, who you will absolutely love. There are so many parallels with what we study in the yoga practice - energetic attunement, nervous system regulation, and the art of surrender. This epic animal encounter will change the way you think about horseback riding.

Day 2* - Horseback Trek: After a day of bonding, we will have the opportunity to trek through the rolling hills and nearby creeks. Guided by Ellen herself, it’s an awesome way to tour the farm and surrounding areas.

*Totally okay/optional if you are not comfortable horseback riding. You can sit out for extra down time.

guided bush walk

We’re going off-roading into the forest of our 1,000 acre property. New Zealand has some of the freshest air and water on the planet and we’re making the most.

sunrise Kayak

Just down the road is our kayak launch into the Whangaruru Harbor. Bundle up and watch the sun come up over the untouched horizon.

2x evening sauna

A proper hobbit hut for our evening sauna sessions. This retreat is jam-packed with all things wellness. Detox included.

2x secret beaches

The entire northern coastline looks like a scene out of a movie. We will take a few little day trips to these sparkly, blue-green hangout spots. Lucky us!

Stargazing, Bonfire, and Coffee Chats

Our property has an on-site coffee shop for you to enjoy, we’ll gather around the bonfire, and unwind under the Milky Way (shooting starts galore!). So many spaces to connect and get cozy.

Three (3) Meals/Day in whangaruru

Three (3) meals a day are included to fuel an epic amount of yoga and excursions.

*Meals are NOT included in Auckland. We will go to a restaurant for dinner before the concert and breakfast in the morning. So that everyone can get what they want, we will pay separate tabs.

whangarei Airport transfer

From Auckland, you’ll fly together into the Whangarei Airport. On November 14 (check-in) and November 20 (check-out), your hour-long airport transfer will be included.

*Airfare is not included. Group coordination will happen after pre-sale so everyone can get on the same flight to/from Auckland. You can expect $150 or so for round trip domestic flights.

common questions

Q: Do you need to participate in all the actives?
A: No, you can certainly sit out any activities to enjoy some added rest or alone time.

Q: Will I need a Visa?
A: If you are a US Citizen traveling from the US, you’ll need to get a visitor’s authorization. I’ll send you guys the link to file electronically before we go.

Q: How do I get there?
A: From Auckland, everyone will catch a domestic flight to Whangarei on November 14. We will pick you up at the Whangarei airport. Transfers will be scheduled in after pre-sale. Same thing on the way back to Auckland.

Q: I’ve never done pilates before - what can I expect?
A: Mat pilates is very adjacent to a yang yoga practice. Rooted in muscular engagement and strategic fatiguing of the muscles, it’s low-impact strength training using body weight.

Q: What can I expect in Auckland?
A: We will fly down together on November 20th and take Ubers to the hotel. It’s a 10-minute walk from the hotel to the concert venue. So, after check-in, we will grab a bite to eat and walk over to see Jack Johnson! Everyone will fly out at different times on the 21st so no plans the following day. Check-out on the 1st is at 10am.
