best of bali

march 22-29, 2026

for the:
adventurer

I have spent months exploring the roads-less-traveled of Bali. Despite being one of the most-popular tourist destinations in the world, there were still unspoiled pockets, yearning to be kept sacred. So, in honor of the abundant earth and her beautiful people, we’re immersing ourselves into the quieter heart of the island. From the northern rainforest, to the Bukit Peninsula, and all the way to East Java, it’s not-your-standard Bali itinerary. Combined with a jam-packed schedule of yoga, trekking, and adventures, we’re pushing ourselves to the limit on this retreat. If you can hang for a weeklong adventure, you’re in for the Best of Bali.

retreat intention: discipline

primary chakras: solar plexus

five (5) nights in the rainforest

No place truly compares to this one: a locally-run eco-lodge, nestled into the foothills of Mount Batukaru. The northern rainforest of Bali is still unspoiled and this is one of the few places you can still truly immerse yourself. The property is all ours, equipped with a plant-based restaurant, treetop yoga-shala, and natural swimming pools. It’s nature’s playground.

Two (2) Nights on the coast

Our retreat closes out in Uluwatu, at one of my favorite beach properties ever. Right on the cliff front, we’ll wake up to unobstructed view of the Indian Ocean. Watch the waves roll in at one of the most famous surf breaks in the world. And rejuvenate at one of the many pools or private beach.

Three (3) Plant-based meals/day

Three meals per day will be included, prepared with the freshest ingredients from the rainforest and garden of our property. You’ll be able to choose whatever you like from the on-site restaurant menus! One (1) entree and one (1) beverage included at each meal.

average (2) hours yoga/day

The front end of our trip will feature 3 hours of yoga per day in our treetop yoga shala. Including a transformative morning of silence, with 108 Sun Salutations + meditation.

When we arrive to the coast, we’ll slow things down with a single ocean-view practice per day… leaving room for vacay vibes.

Along with our hikes and ocean adventures, this is one of our most physically demanding retreats of the year.

Belimbing Trek

We won’t see any other tourists on this guided hike as we explore local villages, farmlands, and ride paddies. A long, 4-hour trek to Belimbing, we’ll hop in the car at our destination for a quick return to the lodge.

rainforest hike

A local guide will show us the magic of the Batukaru Rainforest, one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the island. The plants and animals on this trail won’t be anything like what we have at home.

Alas Puwro National Park boat trip

We’re headed to Bali during whale shark season, with hopes that we’ll be able to join them on our way to East Java. We’ve hired a private speedboat charter to take us from Uluwatu to the white sands of Alas Puwro National Park for the most epic day of island-hopping in Indonesia.

balinese plant-medicine workshop

Our dear friend and local grandmother, Ibu Wayan, will teach us about plant medicines of the rainforest. We’ll get to make homemade jamu and study the medicinal properties of local ingredients.

rainforest Sauna Session

Reset with an evening sauna + plunge in the natural swimming pool. It’s a little extra boost during our weeklong reset.

60-minute aromatherapy massage

After all the hiking and yoga during the week, our last day in the rainforest will be dedicated to R&R. Enjoy an aromatherapy massage, using all local ingredients, of course.

common questions

Q: Will there be downtime?
A: Yes! One of the highlights of this retreat will be downtime spent in the rainforest. There’s a natural swimming pool on-site to enjoy, nearby waterfalls, and many nooks around the property where you can read/nap/relax.

Q: Is Bali safe?
A: Incredibly. As a solo female traveler, this is something I take very seriously, too. It’s one of the most-traveled places in the world for a reason. Just follow standard safety protocol while traveling anywhere and you’ll be good!

Q: I’m nervous about getting to the destination alone. Can you help me?
A: Of course! Before the retreat, I will send all of my suggestions for transportation services, including private shuttle options. I will also share with the group when everyone else lands, in case you want to coordinate travel together. Plus, I’ll be on standby at the destination, awaiting your arrival!

Q: Will there be bugs?
A: Yes! Plan on bugs. However, there are not many mosquitos here (fantastic news!). Our intention for the week is to be fully immersed in nature. Connected. Rooted. There’s a large, local staff on-site to guide us through the natural elements and keep us safe.
